Sets the direction of the chamber and oversees its finances.

Vithu Ramachandran

President

Vithu Ramachandran is a lawyer and the founder of Ramachandran Law, a firm whose practice covers civil litigation, corporate, family, immigration and real estate law, and wills and estates. He is a member of the chamber and listed in its business directory. He served on the 2025/2026 board as Vice President, Internal Affairs, and became president for the 2026/2027 term at the annual general meeting. His stated priorities are to bring more young entrepreneurs into the chamber and to advance women’s entrepreneurship.

Darshan Sritharan

Executive Vice President

Darshan Sritharan is a mortgage professional with Dominion Lending Centres, helping clients with home purchases, refinancing and mortgages for first-time buyers and self-employed borrowers. He is listed in the chamber’s business directory under finance. He served as Executive Vice President on the 2025/2026 board and continues in that role for 2026/2027, working closely with the president on the chamber’s priorities.

Shobika Santhalingam

Vice President, Internal Affairs

Shobika Santhalingam is Vice President, Internal Affairs, on the 2026/2027 board. The portfolio looks after how the chamber runs from the inside: member services, committees and the processes that keep events and programs on track. Shobika is one of the volunteers who give the chamber its day-to-day continuity.

Chandran Ramakrishna

Vice President, Finance

Chan Ramakrishna is a chartered professional accountant (CPA, CGA) who provides accounting, bookkeeping and income tax services to individuals and small businesses. He is listed in the chamber’s business directory. He served as a director on the 2025/2026 board and is Vice President, Finance, for 2026/2027, overseeing the chamber’s budget, reporting and the annual financial statements presented to members.

Karan Kanagasabai

Vice President, Membership

Karan Kanagasabai is a real estate professional in Scarborough who helps clients list, buy and sell property. He is listed in the chamber’s business directory. He was a director on the 2025/2026 board and now serves as Vice President, Membership, leading work to welcome new members and keep existing members engaged.

Kayan Kanesalingam

Vice President, External Relations (Policy and Partnership)

Kayan Kanesalingam is Vice President, External Relations (Policy and Partnership), on the 2026/2027 board. Kayan held the same portfolio on the 2025/2026 board. The role covers the chamber’s relationships with governments, other chambers and business groups, and the partnerships that bring members programs and introductions.

Thiru Gobiraj

Vice President, Marketing, Communications, and Data Management

Thiru Gobiraj is a real estate salesperson with Royal LePage who also worked in the Government of Canada in IT support, web development and digital marketing. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Carleton University, has received a number of awards including the Ontario Volunteer Service Award, and gives part of each transaction to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. He served as a director and is Vice President, Marketing, Communications, and Data Management, drawing on his technology and marketing background.

Mahen Singarajah

Director

Mahen Singarajah is a real estate professional in Toronto with RE/MAX, helping clients list, buy and sell property. He has been a chamber member and has been featured in the CTCC magazine. He has served on the board for several terms, including as Vice President, Marketing on the 2025/2026 board, and is a director for 2026/2027.

Nathan Thiyagarajah

Director

Nathan Thiyagarajah is a director on the 2026/2027 board. Directors take part in board decisions and each support a part of the chamber’s work, from events and sponsors to member outreach. Nathan is one of the volunteers who contribute time to the chamber’s programs.

Suven Poopalasingam

Director

Suven Poopalasingam is a director on the 2026/2027 board. Directors vote on the chamber’s plans and budget and help deliver events, programs and member outreach. Suven volunteers time to help the chamber serve Canadian Tamil businesses.

Rubendran Janendran

Director

Rubendran Janendran is a director on the 2026/2027 board. Rubendran takes part in board decisions and supports the chamber’s events and community programs, and is among the volunteers who help the chamber serve its members.

Ari A. Ariaran

Immediate Past President

Ari A. Ariaran is an accountant (CPA, CGA) whose practice provides personal and corporate tax planning, financial and retirement planning, and business advisory services, with a focus on self-employed professionals. He led the chamber as president for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 terms, with digital transformation, advocacy, professional development and networking as priorities. He is now Immediate Past President and continues to support the board.
