The chamber’s Annual Awards Gala brought together business owners, professionals, elected guests and families for an evening of recognition. The ballroom was set for a seated dinner, and the program mixed short speeches with performances and the presentation of the chamber’s awards.
Who was honoured
Awards recognised entrepreneurs who had grown a business, community members who had given years of volunteer service, and young professionals who had started something promising. Each recipient was introduced with a short story about what they had built and who they had helped along the way. Several winners spoke about mentors who had opened doors for them, which fit neatly with the chamber’s own mentorship work.
Thank you to our sponsors
The gala is the chamber’s largest fundraising evening, and it depends on its diamond, gold and silver sponsors. The master of ceremonies thanked each sponsor by name and reminded guests that proceeds support programs for students, new immigrants and women entrepreneurs throughout the year.
- Tables were hosted by corporate members, who invited clients, suppliers and staff.
- A silent auction raised funds for the chamber’s community fund.
- Live music and a closing dance kept the room full until late.
Planning for next year’s gala will start early in the new year. Corporate members who would like to host a table or nominate someone for an award can contact the events team through the portal.
