The chamber’s first quarterly meeting of 2026 opened with a welcome to the newest members, who each introduced their business in a minute or less. Hearing a landscaper, an accountant and a food manufacturer describe what they do in the same room is a reminder of why the chamber exists.
Board update
The president summarised the board’s priorities and thanked the volunteers who had staffed the winter events. The treasurer reported that spending was on budget and that sponsorship renewals were ahead of last year. The events chair shared the calendar for the coming months, including a mentorship information session, a women’s committee roundtable and a spring networking evening.
Member questions
Members asked about parking at the Business Centre, ticket prices for the gala and whether the chamber could host a session on export financing. The board agreed to follow up on each point, and the export session later became part of the learning library.
- New members were introduced and welcomed.
- The events calendar for spring was shared.
- A short demonstration previewed the new member portal.
The meeting ended with refreshments and open networking. If you missed it, the slides and notes will be available to members in the document library. The next quarterly meeting is planned for late spring.
